Who is the Murex User Group?

We are an independent organisation, operated and managed for the benefit of our members.

We provide meetings and discussion forums in a neutral environment where users can network, exchange experiences, and receive presentations from selected relevant companies.  We provide numerous events throughout the year, covering a wide range of topics relevant  to the operation and implementation of Murex software, and including presentations by users on their own experiences, by Murex the latest development in their products (sometimes including pre-launch information), and by selected vendors on their products where we feel these will be relevant and of interest.

Is the Murex User Group part of Murex?

No, the User Group is an independent organisation, operated and managed for the benefit of its members.

Who Is Eligible For Membership?

Full membership is open to all companies who are licensed users of Murex software as well as consulting companies, spezialized in Murex implementations and individual users.

Can Murex Partners and Consulting Companies Join?

Yes, if they provide Murex-related services, however only persons with hands-on Murex experience are allowed to attend the meetings on behalf of a Murex Partner or Consulting Company. Recruiters, Sales, and simmilar professions need to register as such in order to attend a meeting.

What benefits does membership offer?

As a member of the User Group there are a number of benefits available to assist you and your organisation, including:

  • Free attendance at Special Interest Groups (SIGs)for up to two attendees from each member company. Our SIGs cover most areas of Murex software as well as many other aspects of implementation, training and support.
  • Unrivalled networking opportunities – exchange experiences with other members and Murex staff and learn how to get the best from your Murex system.

What is A SIG?

A SIG is a Special Interest Group, of which we currently have 13 available, which meet on a number of occasions throughout the year.

2008-03-21 Free Membership
Starting today membership is free for everybody working hands-on with Murex software. There is no more paid membership.
2008-01-03 Murex User Group gets 35% discount on O'Reilly
The Murex User Group is now recognized by O'Reilly and we receive a 35% discount on their books. Use "DSUG" as a discount code. Also if you like to write reviews let me know and you get a free book.
2007-12-07 Murex Won!
Murex was voted No.1 in the Risk Technology Ratings 2007.
2007-11-21 Shinhan Bank Live on Murex MX.3
Murex announced today that Shinhan Bank, one of Korea's top five banks, is now live on MX.3 for its front office interest rate derivatives and foreign exchange options activities. Shinhan Bank selected Murex in March 2007 and has now deployed MX.3 to front office traders and marketers in Korea.
